How VerumVerify collects, uses, and protects your data. We follow GDPR-aligned privacy practices and give you control over your account, email preferences, and public-feed visibility.
The data we store is limited to what is required to run the service: your email and authentication identifier, the claims and URLs you submit for fact-checking, the resulting verdicts and reasoning, subscription and billing metadata provided by Paddle, and analytics events for aggregate product metrics (subject to your cookie consent choice).
Fact-check submissions are stored so you can revisit them and so the community feed can display verified public claims. You control per-item visibility from the dashboard and can delete any submission at any time. Rumor Mailbox submissions are stored anonymously, we do not link them to your IP address or account.
We use a small number of processors: Lovable Cloud (Supabase, hosted in the EU / eu-central-1 Frankfurt) for the database and edge functions, Resend for transactional email, Paddle for payments, Google and Groq for AI inference, and Google Analytics for consented analytics. Data is stored in the EU. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by emailing contact@verumverify.com.
Account deletion permanently removes your profile, subscription record, personal fact-check history, journal entries, and folders. Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be retained for platform metrics. Full details, retention periods, and your GDPR rights are described inline on the Privacy page itself.
